I think Matthew McConaughey made a drunken bet with David Spade that he can get laid in Hollywood no matter what he says or does.
7 years ago today, I quit drinking. I don't like to talk about it all the time or shove my lack of drinking in people faces, but once a year, I look forward to making this post. If you saw me 7 years ago, you would not recognize me to look at me. I was a bloated, scared, sweaty little mess and I thought that was going to be my life forever. I truly could not imagine a life without drinking. I thought it was my identity and I would either learn to live with it or eventually give in to it. The truth is, with help of family, friends and even some strangers, I quit drinking and changed my life. 7 years ago I was jobless, unemployable, fighting anxiety attacks 24/7, unhealthy, and I was a worry in the minds of my family. Since then I have realized my dream of being a full time stand up comedian, I've been in over 25 commercials and 2 movies, I've performed with and met heroes like Louis CK, Dave Attell, Tom Papa, Sarah Silverman and countless more. I've been on National TV doing stand up. I've kissed girls solely because I've been on National TV doing stand up. And most importantly, my family has a guy they can count on instead of worry about. If you're struggling with drinking, or anything, you have the power to change. You control how you react to this world. Please contact me, a counselor or a friend who is in a program, don't be afraid to ask for help, it is the key to your freedom. You can change who you are at anytime and maybe one day you'll look back and realize it's been 7 whole years. If you feel like there is something out there rooting against you, know that there is also something out there rooting for you. Love and Luck, Will
