SHADY CONDUCT OF GÜLEN ORGANIZATION EXPOSED IN NEW BOOK “EMPIRE OF DECEIT”
Robert Amsterdam, the senior partner of law firm Amsterdam & Partners LLP, is releasing a new book documenting the unlawful activities of the Fethullah Gülen Organization’s secretive network of charter schools in the United States.
According to Amsterdam, who was appointed by the Republic of Turkey to investigate the global activity of Gülen, the organization oversees a vast network of schools, management companies, real estate firms, construction businesses, as well as front NGOs in the United States. His book, Empire of Deceit, details the activities of approximately 174 schools operating in 29 US states, which in the past year alone generated revenues of more than $742 million.
This book, which consists of objective public record facts, represents a clear warning, says Amsterdam. “We are urging federal authorities, law enforcement, state legislators, teacher unions and parents in these communities to take action to halt the abuse of the US education system by Gülen,” he said.
First appointed by the Republic of Turkey to investigate the global Gülen organization in 2015, Robert Amsterdam of Amsterdam & Partners LLP today is announcing the soft launch of ‘’Empire of Deceit: An Investigation of the Gülen Charter School Network” at Çırağan Palace on Friday 14 July, 2017.
A short video executive summary of the book will be shown at the beginning of the event, featuring quotes from the text and key facts and figures of the findings of the investigation. Among the unlawful misconduct at Gülen schools discovered by Amsterdam’s investigation are suspicious property deals, self-dealing of school contracts, proselytizing and recruiting of American schoolchildren, massive abuse of H-1B visas, widespread discrimination and mistreatment, and teachers helping students cheat on exams to falsify performance of the schools
