I see a lot of posts today about the Women's March and I have many friends involved and I understand the whole thing completely. However, I see signs and shirts saying,"The Future Is Female." If I wore a shirt that said,"The Future Is Male" I'm pretty sure that women everywhere would be outraged and understandably so. Why does the future need a gender associated with it? Why can't we come together on any level about anything? Why must it be left against right, Democrats against Republicans, whites against blacks, gays against straights, males against females, boomers against millennials, young against old and the other way around in each of these examples? I see a lot of outrage that separates and divides us but not much discussion about what could bring us together. We all seem to be working too hard for ourselves and not enough for us. I am exhausted by all of it. Truly, I am just worn out. Btw, The Future Is All Of Us. Not just you or me or them, but all of us. Now, rant and rave and call each other names and be mad at me and unfriend me if you must. I'm not going to say another word about this. I meant what I said that I'm exhausted from it all.
More ridiculous wussification of America: Some universities cancel classes because students are in shock and depressed over Trump's win. Have you ever been allowed to take off work because you were unhappy with the outcome of an election? Liking democracy only when your candidate wins is like loving baseball only when your team wins. Grow the hell up kiddos, life doesn't always go your way.
