Well folks, got some great news today and it's finally official! I'll be moving to Ottawa in January to join Senator Doug Black's office as a staffer! It's the end of an era in Calgary for sure, but really excited for the opportunity out east. I'm sure there will be plenty of time to celebrate before I head out!
Just wanna say that I appreciate all of the support during the campaign more than any of you can imagine. Doesn't always work out but it's not about the loss it's about what we do after that counts. Huge shout out to my boy Raphael who blew it up last night and will be your next SU Prez. Thanks to him my parents can finally be proud of me for finishing a degree. Many plays left to be made over the next 2 months, but end of the day #LetsGOOO! If anyone wants to fire it up this weekend toss me the text. The one constant in this was that I was going to party this weekend.
Folks I know it's early but I woke up and can't fall back asleep. TOO stoked on being elected as the 70th President of the UofC Students' Union! Thank you all so much for the support I'd be nowhere without it. I love you all and I promise I'll work hard to do some BIG THINGS next year. LETS GO! UofC Just BIRKED IT!
Five years ago today my uncle, Aman Virk, passed away. He was the first person to get me involved in politics and without him I wouldn't be working in Ottawa today. I think about my uncle every minute and I know he'd be glad about what I'm doing today. He's the biggest inspiration in my life and the best mentor I ever had. I love you and miss you Aman uncle. Without you, I'd be nowhere.
