So...since I'm sitting in the airport waiting almost a 20 hr trip to Las Vegas I thought I would share a thought! I realize that we live in a very instant world...a world were you can almost have whatever you want when you want it...food,music,shopping,entertainment,ect. That being said when you go out to a show or to a club...stop thinking that you can tell the DJ what you want to hear. STOP putting your bright ass phones in the DJs face with YOUR song request. You wake up to YOUR song...you listen to it eating breakfast...on your way to work...at work...during your lunch break...on your way home...at dinner...getting dressed to go out...on your way to the club...only to come in and ask the DJ to play YOUR song??? Seriously??? There are more people there than just you!! A very good and respected DJ friend I know said while he was in a club in Dubai, one of the Royal family were there and asked to hear Drake...my friend obliged and played a song. He came back and said he wanted to hear another Drake song. So he found a way to work it into his set (because real Djs have sets and don't just slam records together). Then he came back and said "play a hour of nothing but Drake". So my friend nicely said "why don't you book me for you own personal party and I'll play whatever you want". It's NOT your personal party people. Hopefully during the night the DJ plays YOUR song or something you like but pls have respect for the guy doing the job not to make it just about YOU! That's what your IPOD is for!!!! Just a thought!!!
