"All residents of Saint Paul may obtain a library card by presenting proof of address and a photo ID. We never have, and never will, inquire about citizenship or immigration/refugee status. Within our buildings, our resources and information are available to all, whether they have a library card or not." - Jane Eastwood, Saint Paul Public Library Director
St. Paul has declared a snow emergency beginning at 9 p.m. tonight, 12/11/16. Visit stpaul.gov/snow for more info.
We want to thank everyone for using your single-sort wheeled cart and participating in the All In recycling program. We also want to thank you for your patience. Eureka crews are running new routes with new equipment and all of us are getting acquainted with new rules. This is creating some delays in pick up – even though crews have been running till 8:00pm. If your recycling wasn’t picked up this week and you have concerns about too many items or an overflowed cart, Eureka will pick up extra materials outside the cart, placed in paper bags, boxes or bins next week – as a one-time exception. Here are a few simple tips and reminders that you can do to help ensure collection goes smoothly for everyone: 1. Place your cart out flush with the alley or curb by 7am the day of your pick up 2. Keep the area around your cart free of snow, ice, and other debris 3. Leave 2 feet of space between your recycling cart and your garbage can 4. If you see a tag on the cart, that is a friendly reminder about how to recycle properly. Please follow the instructions provided. For more information on how and where to place your recycling cart visit www.stpaul.gov/recycle Please share this information with your family, friends, and neighbors. Thanks for recycling! Link
