I'm so proud of all of you that are speaking up for your rights. It's true patriotism to want better things for yourself, your people and your Country. I really enjoyed walking around and was humbled by all of you that showed up. I'm equally proud of those who think the same way but were unable to come for whatever reason. We all move at our own pace.
Let's just be clear. We don't want regime change. We want true Democracy, not A Kleptocracy, which is what Malaysia is right now. Just because the people in power say that everything is fine just the way it is, does not mean they speak the truth - you could argue that anyone that steals would be by default a liar. More importantly they say these things not because they believe it's true, or that they actually care about you and me, but for the simple reason they want to keep the status quo and continue to rape our country.
There is a wrongness which has permeated all aspects of governance in Malaysia. This wrongness takes the form of Corruption and Hypocrisy and its weapon is silence. Not the hard power of jail or a state controlled media, but a soft power that is far more potent.
You see that soft power everyday in the Uncle with the kind eyes who says "Don't rock the boat, you don't know how good we have things here". Or the well meaning friend who is always so positive and helpful who blindly says "trust in fate, things will get better". Do I think things will get better? I'm not sure, we may have left it too late to make a difference. Wahhabism and extremism is already knocking on our door and the well meaning Uncle and unaware Friend may already be pulling back the locks to let them in.
One thing I know for sure is that if we are to make a change, to make this country great again we must act and act now. Even to the detriment of yourself. We aren't just fighting for ourselves but for our Children and our Children's Children.
