In April, Mark and I will have been married for 34 years and had our first date 5 years before that with only about a six-month hiccup in our relationship back in 1979. Still though I find myself just a little giddy that he is coming home today even though I was looking forward to some time alone. Can't help it. It's not just a mushy Valentine's Day thing, I really do love that crazy man and miss him to bits when he is away!
Reflecting back, overall it's been a great year. I am happy. "They" say "happiness comes from within." True, in part, I would say. On the other hand, it reminds me a bit of the old computer programming axiom "garbage in, garbage out." Accordingly, I genuinely want to thank you. The "within" of my happiness relates to how wonderful it has been to have you as part of my life. Your presence fuels my soul. Thank-you for being my friend. Thank-you for story tips. Thank-you for sharing my posts. Thank-you for teaching me so much. Thank-you for being you. May your dreams come true. Here's a toast to the year that has passed. And cheers to the adventures ahead. Wishing you all the best in the New Year!
