I believe Betsy DeVos understands that decisions about education need to be made much closer to where kids are. I look forward to working with her to find ways to get those decisions back to local school boards, and moms and dads. As Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee for the Department of Education, I will be working hard to ensure that public education continues to be appreciated as the cornerstone of opportunity in America.
I always encourage constituents to contact me and share thoughts or concerns. I’m glad President Trump is wasting no time turning the page on eight years of the Obama administration’s failed energy policies by paving the way for the Keystone XL pipeline. The pipeline, which has long had the backing of the majority of Americans, will pump 800,000 barrels of oil a day to the United States, creating new jobs and bolstering our energy independence. I’ll continue working to advance an all-of-the-above energy policy that will create jobs and lower costs for families and small businesses in Missouri and across the nation. http://bit.ly/2kf9qqX Link
