What better way to celebrate the holiday season than with a Christmas tree made entirely of pointe shoes! Bloch Dance Australia has created every dancer's Christmas tree goals and, if you’re in Sydney, you can visit the tree at their Flagship Store.
Following Annabel Dunstan's touching segment on BBC Radio 4, watch her dance with her mother Monica, a former ballet teacher, in this beautiful video by Monica's granddaughter Megan Lewis. Michelle Groves, Director of Education and Training at RAD explains that "Whatever one’s age or experience, dance can bring people together in ways which are as diverse as they are unique. Dance can be transformative, developing physical as well as mental wellbeing. Younger people working with older people, carers working with those they care for, disabled dancers working with non-disabled dancers – dance can unlock individual potential and abilities."
