The racist white supremacist actions in Charlottesville are completely horrendous. We should all condemn them in the strongest of terms.
I have always believed that President Obama's immigration policies were unwise, unlawful, and unconstitutional. His actions completely disregarded our nation’s rule of law and undermined Congress' Article I authority. Today’s announcement corrects this wrong by putting the responsibility to address this important issue squarely where it belongs – in the hands of Congress. As a Member of Congress, it is my duty to address these important issues and I look forward to working with my colleagues to put forth a long-term solution that makes our country stronger, safer, and upholds our nation’s rule of law.
Obamacare is a discriminatory system that picks winners, creates losers, and oppresses American people who are trying to keep their families healthy. It is a failing system that restricts choice, makes health care unaffordable for American families, and is a major reason why our economy has seen stagnant growth since 2010. Although today's vote is a first step to address the failures of the current health care law, we must be deliberate, thoughtful, and responsible in working to produce a sustainable solution to fix our broken healthcare system. Health care is an issue that impacts every single American. While this bill is not perfect, I believe it is far superior to the health care system we have now. It is my hope that my colleagues in the Senate will continue to use this time to develop a better system that brings millions more of Americans to the health care system, not millions less. We have a real opportunity to effectively fix health care, and I hope we can continue to work together to do so.
The attack on seven Amarnath pilgrims was a display of cowardice and thuggery. Strongly condemn this action. indianexpress.com/article/india/…
While Director Comey’s announcement that he would not recommend that charges be brought against Hillary Clinton was unsurprising, it serves as yet another reminder that the integrity of this investigation has been politicized from start to finish. Instead of creating certainty and instilling faith in our justice system, the Director’s statement only raised more questions about the process. How can the American people expect our law enforcement officials to hold others accountable if we do not hold a former Secretary of State and current candidate to hold the highest office in the country to the highest standard of the law? It is abundantly clear to me that Hillary Clinton broke the law, lied to the public, and betrayed the trust of the American people, and I sincerely hope justice will prevail and she will be held accountable for her lawless actions.
