You never become a great leader, thinker, athlete or Christian by seeing how little you can do or what you can get away with...
Social media is a cruel beast when people are hurting. Lest we forget, the same whip you use on others may one day be used on you.
Think about it. The church I grew up in seats 1,000, they now have about 15 people. The church I served in college relocated because they didn't want to be in a changing neighborhood. The church I served in Seminary is now closed and defunct. 2 of the churches I served in youth ministry are a mere shadow of what they were. Why did these churches fail? One. They forgot God. Two. They didn't care about the next generation. Three. They (2 of them) would rather die than integrate. Four. They were content with an aging status quo congregation. Five. They refused to change - anything - at all - no matter what. Methods and tradition were more important than a church longing for the presence of the Holy Spirit. Six. Their leaders lacked courage. Seven. They were not kingdom minded. To sum it up, they had all they thought they needed but they left God out and God walked out. What would you be willing to give up to see God work in your church?
When missing church is frequent or easy, there's something missing in your heart.
Any pastor who doesn't call both parties to repentance is a coward & lacks moral courage. We are under judgement & must call sin what it is
