I'm deleting my last post and here's why! Good morning from NY. Last night before I went to sleep I posted a message here knowing that many of you were very happy with the result last night and many of you were incredibly disappointed and even scared. Scared for yourself, your families and loved ones and your country....not to mention the world. Being an Aussie that spends a lot of time in the US, I'm always reminding myself that I'm a guest here. It's not my country. I'm not a citizen. I don't get to vote and in many ways, I don't feel that I get to preach. I'm respectful of my host and it's people. What I try to be in life is an optimist. I try to look on the bright side of things. It's not easy and I'm certainly not perfect at it. But I have found that in times of great pressure in my life, it has been a saving grace many times. Another thing I'm quite big on is accepting the judges decision particularly if I don't like it. "The tribe has spoken" was always a great line from the TV show Survivor. My post last night was about coming together and trying to find the middle ground. Not being disrespectful to the other side. Being positive no matter how hard that may seem. After reading the comments, many of you did just that. But lots didn't. So I have deleted the post. Not because I got it wrong. But because the whole idea was for positive vibes....with so much negativity on both sides, I wanted this page to be a place of positive thinking. I do understand that many of you are not in that head space for that today and may not be tomorrow or for a very long time. I'm not trying to be diplomatic or sit on the fence. I'm of the opinion that my view really doesn't matter when it comes to US elections...you don't follow me to hear about my politics or what I think about the stock market. You're here because we are all trying to be healthy in a predominantly unhealthy world. And it's easier together than alone. Peace.
