"After your medically fragile child dies, the life you once knew comes to an end. The hospital care, the familiar faces of those doctors and nurses, the checkups, the daily routine. Everything changes, except Canuck Place. Our child may not receive care there anymore, but we do." - Canuck Place mom, Michaela Evanow Link
Today's 12 Gratitudes celebrates Amazement, and the special connection Poppy makes with Canuck Place children. In one very special case, a young child receiving end-of-life care, Baby Jay, was brought to Poppy after having been unresponsive for days. To the amazement of all present, Jay starting moving, gently petting the patient Poppy. It's a very special memory, and remarkable moment of Canuck Place care.
