I couldn't sleep last night... We had a big day at Thistle Farms yesterday, and my mind was full of so many good things. The picture I kept revisiting was this one. Dorris, without any hesitation or nervousness, smiling directly into CNN's camera and speaking her truth.
CNN people! During her time in active addiction, Dorris lived in one of Nashville's roughest neighborhoods. Years went by, and she never moved beyond a ten block radius of abuse and sadness. Her whole world was contained within one square mile, and she has said many times that she never doubted that world was the one for which she was created.
Ok, Dorris is extra smart, but she got that one wrong. When the piece that's being filmed this week airs, Dorris will be right where she belongs... Everywhere. On TVs and computers all over the country, and beyond. Dorris, who spent so long in that Nashville neighborhood of despair, delivering the truth that love can heal to the whole world. #LoveHeals
