We couldn't resist sharing some more of the tiniest new patient at our wildlife hospital. This echidna puggle was brought to Taronga suffering from dehydration and scratches over its belly and hind legs, after being rescued from a group of chickens. It has grown from 400 grams to 530 grams in the past two weeks and is now feeding confidently from carer Annabelle’s hand, only stopping to blow milk bubbles out its nose: http://bit.ly/1rDUipW
Is this the cutest sentry duty you’ve ever seen? Our two Meerkat pups are just weeks old but are already practicing being on the lookout for potential threats to their family.
