Come to Kew Gardens from 4 February to 5 March to experience the tropical colours of our annual orchid festival. This year's event is inspired by the vibrant colours and culture of India. Based in the Princess of Wales Conservatory, the festival will feature giant floral displays with exotic orchids, decorative rickshaws, Indian soundscapes, films and much more.
Entry to the festival is included with day admission to Kew Gardens. Friends of Kew enter free http://bit.ly/2iJq7cU.
Happy 90th birthday to Sir David Attenborough! The great man spent a day filming in the gardens last week for a new documentary about bamboo. Here he is with Arboretum manager Ray Townsend.
This fantastic display of autumn colour is provided by Liriodendron tulipifera, commonly known as the tulip tree. See it now at the Palm House end of the Broad Walk.
