One of the great joys of our Israel trip was our Granddaughter being baptized in the Jordan River by her father, Jonathan!
Today is my oldest son,Christopher’s 41st Birthday!
As the old joke goes,”You know you’re getting old when your children are middle-aged!”
Sadly,I can’t share that joke with Christopher,as he has been in Heaven for seven years now.
So,as you can understand, his birthday is a bittersweet day for us.
Honestly, more bitter then sweet, because we miss him so.
But sweet nonetheless, because of precious memories and and future hope of reunion.
We know we will see him again.
Christopher was full of wit and mischief as well as tenderness and love.
He was an amazing son to Cathe and I and a doting brother to Jonathan.
He was an incredible husband to his wife,Brittany and devoted father to his daughter,Stella.
(He is pictured here holding Stella on the day of her birth)
We always laughed about how his birthday was on April fool’s day.
In fact,we laughed together a lot.
I'm looking forward to doing that again.
So,until that day,Happy Birthday,Christopher!
God makes this promise to all of us who have loved ones.
“You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy.” (Ps.30:11)
Be alert; Jesus is coming soon!
“He is not here, He is risen!” (Matthew 28:6)
This photo was taken at the Garden Tomb in Israel. It is believed by many to possibly be the actual tomb Jesus rose from.
When Satan comes knocking at your door, ask Jesus to answer.
