9 Food Writing Trends that Require Your Attention. New post @ bit.ly/1womfwm
Here I am at the Les Dames D'Escoffier annual conference in Washington, D.C. to receive my $1000. I was the grand prize winner of the M.F.K. Fisher Award for Excellence in Culinary Writing in 2016. I was told to wear a gown and give a speech, so that's me in the first photo. In the second you can see the program with a photo of me on every seat. And third, look who was there! Two writers I respect tremendously: Joan Nathan and Nathalie Dupree.

[new post] 8 Answers to Copyright Questions About Recipes and Books -- Some of them might surprise you. bit.ly/2g7DTUw
I'm trying something new. I'm hosting a Facebook Q&A to answer any burning questions about food writing -- best practices for bloggers, writing recipes, making money, social media -- whatever! Throw it at me and I'll do my best to give you a good response.
I've done these kinds of things before on Twitter chats but this is a better forum because not everyone who follows me has to read whatever I'm typing. You know how annoying that can get, right?
I'm excited to try it! Hope you'll get a question ready for me on Monday.Worst case it will be just the two of us and we can chat for a half hour about whatever you'd like.
