I've been away twice this summer. Both momcations, that's what we call them when we have to go away for our kids activities. This past week we went to South Carolina for a national dance competition for my daughter. Her team did quite well and so did she as a soloist. Most amazing to me though was with all the controversy and violence going on around the country we had so many strangers helping us at every turn. First, we had trouble securing the luggage on top of our truck (never did that before)! A complete stranger took the time to help us secure the luggage it took more than 30 minutes. Simply amazing. Then we were travelling and we had car troubles (go figure) again strangers helped us unload all of the costumes and luggage and extras and load it all into another vehicle so we could be on our way. Then while in South Carolina, people were so nice including one woman at a local hotel who gave us all hugs and just wanted to spread the love. The whole experience along with listening to Joel Osteen on the trip made me rethink a lot of things about life and what's going on in this country. If we all just spread more love and understanding no matter how we look, we'll all be better off
#backchannel You gotta watch Detroit restaurants shine on ABC's the Chew tomorrow afternoon on 7. We're in the spotight!!!
Happy Monday!! If you're ever feeling down and need a pick me up on life sometimes I listen to Joel Osteen heading in to work on Sirius XM. He has a way of looking at life on the positive side of the road instead of the negative!! He gives me the strength I need sometimes to get through the tough news we have to tell and gives me a chuckle over the lighter side of news we have to tell. It's not about religion, it's just about staying positive which is what I try my best to do. Pass on a positive message of hope to someone in your life today!
#backchannel so much love going out to Rexy tonight.. thank you thank you thank you
Wow my mom is nearly 87 and she was on the phone all day today calling her grandchildren, great grandchildren, children, friends and family alike.. all with one message. Get out and vote, people fought and died for the right to do so! About 50 minutes left in primary voting today!!
