A huge THANK YOU to the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopters across NSW and Tasmania who performed a massive number of missions during the extreme weather over the last 72 hours.
Westpac Rescue Helicopter Tasmania performed over 100 rescues in a 24 hour period, winching out people stranded in flood waters, homes, businesses and cars during the worst flood in Tasmania in 90 years.
The Southern NSW Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopters - Official Site undertook 13 missions across a 3 day period. They rescued bushwalkers stranded by rising flood water, multiple missing surfers and swimmers, kite surfers and kayakers.
Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter - Northern Region was called out 3 times in search and rescue efforts for swimmers, kayakers and a couple washed away by rising flood waters.
