R.I.P. ‘Big Bear’
Victoria Police is saddened by the sudden passing of Police Dog Yaegar, just a week shy of his 10th birthday.
The ‘Big Bear’ as he was affectionately known was responsible for numerous arrests and location of missing persons. His imposing demeanour ensured, that when needed, the public and other police members felt safe by his presence. Most importantly he was a great and noble partner to Sergeant Bob Carter who says, “he will be greatly missed.”
A very special thank you to the vets and staff at the Monash Veterinary Clinic for their comfort and compassion in making his final journey bearable.
