The Wulkuraka Maintenance Centre was built with state-of-the-art technology and machinery to assist in the maintenance, service and repair of South East Queensland’s new commuter trains.
As the centre is prepared for the arrival of the new trains, a series of ‘assimilation’ tests have begun.
The first of these tests conducted ensures the Lifting Jacks are able to lift the considerable weight of the NGR train – approximately 260 tonnes!
In other news, the second NGR train is now on its way to Brisbane and will arrive in the coming days!
