During his 6th deployment, Gunnery Sergeant Thomas McRae stepped on an IED, losing both legs above the knees and his left arm above the elbow. Thomas also suffered a head wound, losing one eye and much of his vision in the other. After four months he woke up in a VA hospital. Last week Thomas learned to herd and brand cattle at the Arizona Ranch Roundup with our Jinx McCain Horsemanship Program. He says he won't dwell a day on what happened to him.
