Do wings the Sailor Jerry way: sweet, spicy, and with a kick. Fire up the grill for Wicked Wings, just in time for July 4th weekend.
2 lbs. fresh chicken wings
1 gallon water
1 C white sugar
1 C kosher salt
1/2 C molasses
1/2 C sherry veingar
1 C Sailor Jerry Rum
1 C brown sugar
6 Tbs olive oil
kosher salt & black pepper
1. Combine water, white sugar and salt in a pot and bring to boil. Cool brine completely, pour over raw wings and marinate 3-5 hours.
2. Wing sauce: mix molasses, vinegar, rum, and brown sugar in a pot and bring to boil. Lower heat to medium and reduce by half.
3. Remove wings from brine and toss in olive oil, salt and pepper. Place on a hot grill for 3 minutes. Flip wings and brush with Sailor Jerry glaze. Repeat after another 3 minutes.
4. After a few more minutes, remove from grill, toss with more glaze and serve!
It's the final unofficial weekend of summer. Send it off with an ice cold Sailor Jerry Rockabilly Juice.
