In honor of the recent #InternationalWomensday2016, we want you to meet Marsha, an Engineer and Program Manager for the SFPUC Headquarters’ Living Machine. This on-site reuse system uses a constructed wetland to treat the building’s wastewater and then produces clean water for flushing ALL of the building’s toilets (full circle)!
She also helps coordinate the review of sewer infrastructure plans in new neighborhoods. Marsha grew up overseas in Jakarta, Indonesia where the importance of proper water and wastewater utility services was deeply instilled in her. It’s also one of the reasons she became an engineer! Come in for a building tour with her and learn more about the living machine. http://bit.ly/1Xdzv5N
Spend this Saturday morning finding out what happens to water going from your shower, laundry and toilet after it goes down the drain. Link
