Happy New Year! We thought sharing this wonderful photo and heartwarming email would be a great way to kick off 2017:
"I would just like to take a minute and thank you for the awesome care package! I'm really not even sure how anyone got my name and address, but am glad you did. This is actually my third deployment in the last 11 years, and I can honestly say that we (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines) feed off of the support given from family, friends, and special organizations; such as yourselves! It's what keeps us going, such a morale booster! I read through your magazine to gain some knowledge and background of your organization. You guys are truly awesome! I realize that there are many moving parts, and to be able to pull something like this off on such a grand scale is nothing short of a miracle. A HUGE thank you to all parties involved. From the financial backing to ALL the volunteers to the kids making personal cards, incredible! It means a lot to me that a total stranger would put their own life on hold so that they could give their own precious time to help benefit another total stranger that they have never met. My hat goes off to you! This is what makes the United States of America so great! Everybody coming together, one nation under God! Thanks again from the bottom of my heart. Sustain the Victory! V/R MSG J.D.R."
No matter where you live, you can join us as we support our nation's heroes in the new year:
