And now.... the official Guinness World Records adjudication of our HUGE swab! World Marrow Donor Day - WMDD
Today’s Hero is our 100th DONOR of 2016! Ari Goldstein, 21, donated peripheral blood stem cells to a patient suffering from lymphoma. In March 2015, Ari joined the Gift of Life Marrow Registry at the GOL University of Maryland’s Campus Ambassador Match Madness drive when he saw his friend (and Gift of Life donor), Jared Stein, running the drive and decided to swab his cheek.
He was first called as match just 2 months later, but ultimately was not the donor for that patient. However, a year and a half later he received another match call and this time was given the chance to donate. Thank you, Ari, for being a hero! #swab2save #huge
Today’s Hero is Jared, 32, who donated peripheral blood stem cells recently to save the life of a patient battling blood cancer! He swabbed his cheek and joined the Gift of Life Marrow Registry in 2002 while a student in New York.
And as if donating wasn't enough, Jared has gone one step further and created a GoFundMe page to help register more donors and help find a life-saving match for Hope 4 Adam! For today only, Jared is matching all donations he receives.

Thank you Jared for all that you do, you truly are a hero!
