UPSC Topper, Ms. Ira Singhal, felicitated by VC, DU & Dean, FMS Delhi
Not very often do we come across achievers whose passion is driven by a simple, yet powerful thought. “I love my country to bits”, says Ira Singhal, the UPSC topper this year. Ira is an alumnus of FMS Delhi from the 2008 batch, and on August 19, 2015 she was invited by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi for felicitation. The gathering consisted of eminent professors from both FMS and from other colleges within DU, a group of differently-abled students, and students of FMS.
She spoke to a group of enthusiastic students, sharing her insights about the business world, her inspirations, what motivates her and the best way to approach one’s dreams.
When asked about how an MBA helped her in her career, Ira said that a lot of strategies and knowledge that she gained at FMS, and during her
engineering days at NSIT, have made her a better manager and prepared her for the future.
Ms. Ira Singhal is a true example of grit, will and perseverance. No dream is too far if you’ve set out to achieve it, and then, nothing can stop you.
