U.S. Navy Senior Chief Edward Byers Jr. charged in to a room, shot a Taliban fighter, then tackled and killed a second. Hearing someone calling out in English from across the room, he dove on top of an American hostage to shield him from gunfire while simultaneously pinning another enemy combatant to the wall by the throat until a fellow SEAL could shoot the Taliban fighter.

A final wish granted. This past week, Army Veteran Roberto Gonzalez asked the South Texas Veterans Health Care System staff at the Audie Murphy VA Medical Center in San Antonio to see his horses for what would likely be a final time. On Saturday, the horses were brought to the front doors of the hospital so the Army Veteran and his family could spend some precious time together. Link
