Friends- Please lift up the Johnson & Russell families today in prayer, that God may comfort them in this time of loss. These young girls were two beautiful souls that have been called home to be with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I'm having a hard time sleeping tonight, as my heart is heavy for the families in my hometown community that were affected by a tragic accident this weekend. One young lady lost her life and three others were severely injured when a young man made the senseless decision to drive drunk. I can't help but feel guilty and ashamed of the times I've sat behind a wheel under the influence and made that same decision, and I thank God for protecting me and others from the possible consequences of my actions. We often times sing these songs that condone drinking and partying without thinking about the harsh reality of alcohol and its effects when misused. Contrary to what any of my songs may say or imply, please be responsible and don't take any chances when it comes to drinking and driving because no excuse you could make to justify it is worth something like this happening. It makes me sad to hear of this tragedy, but I am extremely proud of the outpouring love and support through prayer that the people of Harmony and surrounding areas have shown during this time. Please keep the Johnson, Russell, Allen AND Frazier families in your prayers, as He is the only one who can provide true healing and understanding in a moment like this. (Isaiah 41:10)
Woke up to my fourth #1 on my Wedding Day! Thank you radio, Dawn Gardin and all the fans that made this possible. Time to celebrate ????
Went and played a few songs for my Daddy Gene today. I remember watching him sing this one at the Carthage Hayride growing up, special moment!
Whatever you do today, don't get stuck on the one thing that ruins your day. Smile and be grateful. Life is too short to waste on negativity
