Pete has been with the BC SPCA Quesnel Branch longer than any of the current staff at the shelter. Many years ago, Pete planted several saplings outside our dog yards in the hopes to one day provide a shady spot for our dogs. The trees were so tiny that we did not think they would ever survive. Those four Maple trees are now over 12 feet tall with big, beautiful leaves and Pete still comes to water, weed, rake and mow around them. In addition he sorts the bottles and walks the dogs!
For years of dedication, thousands of hours worked and for always having a pocket full of dog biscuits, we thank you! spca.bc.ca/volunteer #nationalvolunteerweek
It was touch and go for Molly after being hit by a car. Her care is expected to be more than $7,000, if you would like to brighten this sweet girl's day please visit spca.bc.ca/medicalemergency to help with the cost of her care.
The three-year-old nearly didn’t make it, due to the extent of the injuries to both of her front legs, but thanks to everyone who has rallied to help her, the lovable pup will have a new chance at a long and happy life. Please help with Molly's care today!
