I call this ...2 years and 20lbs
The right is the day after I won the Greater Gulf Pro show 2014 & the left is me now. Let me talk a bit about weight because I know it's something we all deal with and I KNOW this will help someone which is why we're here. I've been competing since 2003, & would always take a 6-7 month break between shows then do my shows in a few months period. I believe this helped with longevity in the sport. The last year of being single I did shows in a row for 19 months with 2-3 weeks off in between. I was always hungry & always around my stage weight which did 2 things. #1 my reference point was I should always be ripped. #2 my weight on the scale was my reference point as well so anything over that # I thought was bad. Long story short because I could talk about this forever, of course I met my beautiful husband and we got married. I planned on taking off from stage before I even met him because I was physically and mentally burned out. What I didn't plan on was my body literally stopping to responding to diet and training. Yes I had more balance, but no I wasn't eating cheeseburgers and ben&jerrys. I was training the same 5 days a week some days twice a day and my weight was going up. To 152lbs at my heaviest. Now , you can imagine the mental game as I know many, many of you have been through. If I was sitting on the couch eating donuts maybe I could justify that but I wasn't. I was training, in freakin beast mode the only way I know how to train and nothing. It took me 13 months to start responding again. Yes 13 months. I now can have a cheat meal and/or my period and not fluctuate 6-8lbs, I can also gain muscle and I have perfect hormones and perfect blood work. I'm saying this because I love the way I look now, but the number on the scale would freak me out. I have more muscle , butt and hamstrings are more developed yay to that and getting my body ready for having a family is my top priority. Don't over diet, don't over cardio, don't do anything to sacrifice your health, & don't let a number ruin your day. I believe we go through things for 2 reasons. To understand & to help others. I pray this helps.
#tbt to the very 1st BIKINI OLYMPIA 2010 ???? I placed 5th here. A pic came up on my Facebook from the very 1st Pro Bikini show and I forgot just how much bikini has changed over the years. So I went back and found these pics. I didn't have ripped abs, no striated glutes or tie ins, no capped shoulders, No veins in my abs and yes I still got my period( keeping it real , a lot of girls lose it, and I did later from the need to constantly be leaner and leaner that's why I preach healthy female body now ) So this is how bikini started. This was the look where now, in my opinion, some bikini girls are so ripped and muscular they look like figure girls just posing like a bikini girl. What are your thoughts on this? I know the need to be so ripped and lean , (once again I am ONLY speaking for bikini because it's what I know), but it's left girls not competing because the look now can be unattainable ... I tell my the girls I meet, just be YOUR best. Don't chase a photo or a look or a number on the scale. And if you are going to be onstage don't keep chasing this 'I need to be leaner' I hear it allllll of the time. Or I hear girls saying they didn't win because they needed to be leaner. Or I hear ' I haven't had carbs in 3 months' that one makes me wanna faint. Anyway, here's my advice. Do the sport because you love it and love to train. Eat healthy because food is the best supplement you can take for results and love yourself first. I mean really love yourself. Because if you don't, you will be unhappy at 110lbs or 210lbs. Truth folks. Comment below because yes I read all of my comments I just cannot comment back to all its hard to keep track you can understand but I def read them. So.. Let's talk ... And. I love you ???? ???? #amandakuclo #thekucs #bikini #probikini #olympia2010 #bikiniolympia #love #fitnessmotivation
Ran into @therock backstage last night at @mrolympiallc finals. Had to snap a pic ???????? #mrolympia2016
Current mood.. Mint chocolate chip ???????? Tonight was the first night back in the gym in wait for it.... 2 weeks! I know right? I planned on taking a one week break but with all of the extra busyness with the @kucloclassic and the whole family in town, it turned into a welcomed 2 week break. I haven't taken 2 weeks off since 2011 when I hurt my back. I'll be honest, I really really had to push because I still feel kinda drained but I have goals right? So we can't go by our feelings. We go by what we want in life, our goals and a winning mentality. So, Of course I trained glutes, of course I'm gonna be super sore which I actually look forward to, and of course I was reppin @teamallmax
Pre workout was Amino cuts + hvol and post was carbion(sugar free carb drink I use on leg days) and 1 1/2 scoops of chocolate IsoFemme. My absolute new fav protein because no joke it reminds me exactly of a Wendy's frosty ????
But let's talk about these freakin awesome leggings. I'm testing new colors for @bootyqueenapparel and I never thought I'd be a mint girl, but I'm soooo in love with this color. What do my bootyqueens think? Should we do a summer run of mint? And being that I love food and relate life to it.. Mint chocolate chip booties. Holla back. Goodnight. I sleeps. ???? www.bootyqueenapparel.com

I feel social media is breeding a generation of Hippocrates. preaching what they think people want to hear instead of their real behavior.
Let them eat cake ????... Them let them train cakes ???????? Well with the birthday week, yes week, officially in the books, I had to put the extra food aka extra birthday cake, Reese's eggs and dinners out to good use. So.... Let the calories go straight to zeeeeee cakes. No. I don't walk around this full, duh. It all depends on what I eat, how much I eat, and of course training brings out the pump were all after. Or, most of us anyway. I am though. I'm a freakin meathead in a woman's body. So I love da pump. And I also get asked .. How do you get bigger glutes? Well kids you gotta put weight on. Yes it sucks. But muscle up ???????? = weight up ???????? And... you just HAVE to get off the scale. I say this as I'm on it ???? no just kidding (I literally stopped weighing myself it would drive me nuts, but the scale battery actually ran out so I had no choice thank God, and I just stopped after that). Just take some time to build. That being said , my stage weight is 125lbs. My current weight is 140lbs and I'm 5'5. So you can see the difference now. More weight, more size. So that's it. No tricks, no photoshop or injections or whatever these crazy kids are doing these days that discredits the hard work of the real workers. Just eat, sleep, train repeat. In the meantime, I do realize for me at least, it's either abs or a$$. Leaner = smaller and so the struggle stays real ???? But for now, I'm sticking to enjoying everyday on this wonderful Earth with my daily blessing @stevekuclo and taking #signaturepose pics after higher carb extravaganzas ???????????? Enjoy what your doing. If it stops being fun it's time to reevaluate. And... I ❤️ you ???? #thekucs #amandakuclo #love #training #amandalatonasglutes #bootyqueenapparel #bootyqueen #squatguide #shelflife #shelifts
