Hey Ya’ll, Tater here. I started a song in 1998. It was called “10 Years.” It was a song from my mother’s words about a boy who wouldn’t end up like his daddy, but who believed in Rock n Roll. Since 1998 I’ve put my blood, sweat, and tears into this amazing band of brothers called 10 Years. During that time, I’ve seen the world, met my heroes, played onstage with them, had some hit songs, and accomplished what I set out to do at 13. I’ve loved most every minute of my time touring. Meeting Ya’ll and hearing your stories has been a wonderful gift. Your kindness and words have always inspired me and kept me going. Most of you know that I’ve had problems with my back and shoulder from years of pushing my performances to put on the best punk rock show my body would allow, and this past year it’s taken its toll. I’ve done it sober, which has been difficult and painful physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Today, I am formally shifting from performing and touring to be being at home with my beautiful wife and kids; I will still be writing and creating music, both with 10 Years and individually, but my touring days are done, unless you happen to catch me at a Reunion or Ghost Show:) My heart is still very much with all of you who have helped along the way. Now is the time to go finish that song I started, called “10 Years.” What a ride. This announcement seems appropriate under tonight’s black moon—a shift in creativity and career. I look forward to this new chapter in life. ????????
